Festa da Anona (Cherimoya Fruit Festival) – Faial, Santana
The Cherimoya Fruit Festival (Festa da Anona) has been around since 1990 and takes place annually in the beautiful small village of Faial, located on the northern coast of the Island. The Cherimoya Fruit (anona) is most commonly grown in Faial and in order to promote this delicious fruit, local producers have created a festival with a fruit exhibition and great entertainment.
Madeira Forest and Tree Week – 21
Madeira is celebrating Forest and Tree week, an annual event taking place in the Ecological park of Funchal (Parque Ecológico do Funchal). Fnac Madeira at Madeira Shopping centre has a presentation of nature expositions, workshops, activities, contests and pleasant walks offering people an opportunity to get to know their forests and learn how important they are to all of us.
